Basic information of Cement Screed and Self Leveling Compound
Cement Screed and Self-Leveling Compounds are essential materials for creating stable and level surfaces for flooring.
These materials are versatile, suitable for various applications, and can support heavy foot traffic and equipment loads when properly applied.
Additionally, self-leveling compound is ideal for repairing cracked, uneven, sunken, or variably elevated concrete floors.
Preparing Your Floor for Installation for Your HDB BTO Flat
1) Initial Condition: If your BTO did not opt for the flooring option, HDB will hand over the unit without completed flooring. The floor will need cement screed and self-leveling.
2) Cement Screeding: Contractor Uncle will first apply a cement screed to your flooring, which will raise the height by 30-40mm.
3) Self-Leveling: Once the cement screed surface is dry, our team will level the flooring with a self-leveling compound to smoothen the surface.
4) Drying Time: The self-leveling compound will take about another day to dry. The image above shows the flooring immediately after self-leveling.
